Solar Project Financial Model

Renewable energy is a key a part in addressing the climate crisis while also generating enough electricity to meeting increasing demand. Solar and wind power generation projects are seeing increased investments as states provide incentives for regional and local power generation capacity.
At Model Metrix, we have developed a solar project financial and operational model for private companies and municipal governments. The foundation for this cloud-accessible base model was a successful solar project in Nevada, USA. The model provides a glimpse of capabilities and will be customized and scaled for each client’s unique requirements.
This base model incorporates a comprehensive set of financial statements, operating expenses, revenue projections and capital planning expenditures. Equity, financing, debt, depreciation and reimbursement schedules are also included.
Interactive dashboards provide easy-to-use (and understand) reporting and summaries of critical data. They are also employed for “what if” scenario analysis for key cost and revenue drivers. The model can be integrated with a database, BI tools, and 3rd party data for even more comprehensive modeling and reporting.
We developed the model with Quantrix Modeler, the leading financial and business modeling platform. We follow our proven 5 Layer Design Pattern methodology which ensures the highest levels of model quality, scalability and accuracy. Particular attention is paid to ease of use so that all stakeholders are able to benefit from model capabilities and insights.
With the flexibility of cloud-accessible Modeling-as-a-Service or as an integrated part of a broader planning and solution ecosystem, our Solar Project model provides accurate and holistic planning capability from project conception to revenue generation.
