Model Metrix to release new Function Pack for Quantrix Modeler

When Steve Bailey and I began formalizing the vision for Model Metrix, we recognized the need for modeling solutions that fill the capability void between broken spreadsheet-based processes and less flexible planning and performance management solutions.  One of the reasons business and finance professionals continue to use spreadsheets for mission-critical modeling is the robustness of their calculation ability, which is enabled by a comprehensive set of functions.  Of course, with spreadsheets come significant risks such as data silos, formula errors, version control, and more.

We selected Quantrix Modeler as our multi-dimensional modeling platform of choice due to its ease-of-use, natural language formulas, scalability, calculation speed, and ability to function within a broader enterprise systems architecture.  However, we also understood that financial as well as non-financial modelers would want the functions that they have come to love in spreadsheets.

As both a services and software company, we decided that our initial foray into software development would be the creation of a new function pack for Quantrix Modeler that provides 32 new must-have functions.  The production release is a just few weeks away so we are taking early registrations for those who would like to give it a try.

You can sign up for the waitlist here (page includes sampling of new functions) and be among the first to use.  For those who sign up, we will email you will the download link when it is production-ready.  All we ask in return is that users provide some feedback on their experience with the plugin.

Also, take a moment to check out the short interview that Quantrix did with us recently.

Happy modeling!
